About Bob
Bob narrates with a background of 35 years in stage and film acting. He enjoys the spontaneity of acting on stage, of being “in the moment” in a show before a live audience, and the give-and-take in scenes which may change with each performance. But Bob also enjoys his passion for audiobook narration alone in his studio, armed with the same scene and character analysis as the stage, plus the challenge of representing multiple characters. Acting in any medium requires understanding the author’s intent and honoring the text—this to say, punch-and-roll has become one of Bob’s best friends.
Bob has a quantitative graduate degree in economics laced with PhD-level credits in English. He creates in pen-and-ink and watercolor and has one unpublished short story to his credit. He is a logophile. He speaks Spanish and can narrate English (or Spanish) using Castilian, Cuban, Dominican, Mexican, and Argentine dialects. His varied life experiences make him a better actor and he takes direction well, continually learning because of it. Excellent instruction from Pat Fraley and Scott Brick led to Bob’s narration of The Library of Borrowed Hearts by Lucy Gilmore (Dreamscape), The Long Caper by Charles Reed (Storybook Adventures LLC), and three seasons in the audio drama Forbidden Diary by Chris Robinson (Sai Mun Gani Productions). Bob also loves golf but really doesn’t want to talk about it.
